- Created a mural from community input about the first two months of the COVID-19 pandemic. This was originally a larger project funded by the BCA Community Art Grant and pivoted to meet the current situation in our community.

This is the first year that Burlington, VT participated.

'What Happens Outside of the Kitchen'. The Gallery at the Hive Studios. March, 2018
A participatory art opening celebrating what happens when women step out of the kitchen, now and then. The art opening shared the developing series “What Happens Outside of the Kitchen”, a series of portraits of trailblazing women. There was an unpublished, participatory, portion of the event. Participants were asked to make self portraits, that then became part of the exhibit.

Developed and curated a night of ‘pop-up’ performances pieces of artists and residents in Burlington’s South End that explored concerns and observations about development.
Developed an audio projection taken from over 10 hours of interviews with residents, during the Amplifying Voices project, and edited to a 20 minute piece that looped through the duration of the show.

A performance piece based on the slashing of the Rokeby Venus in 1914 by suffragette Mary Richardson who was protesting the arrest of fellow suffragette Emmeline Pankhurst. In this piece, a gallery opening was staged and red wine was thrown onto a replica of a nude painting that incited a staged argument about the role of women in paintings.

A performed reading of letters between two fictional characters telling the stories of the evolution of their lives as feminist artists, from college years (1960’s), through the present day. The characters were wearing costumes and staged the typing of the letters on typewriters while reading the letters.

A short video created using footage from the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans and borrowed photos from the effects of Hurricane Irene in Vermont, marking the damages, both physical and psychological that natural disasters (and drawing the link to climate change) have had on two different communities.

A silent performance re-enacting the steps in baking a loaf of bread. This was performed in front of a video piece that was created based on Alice Walker’s poem “To Change the World Enough”.
